A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of attending the ASCAP Annual Women Behind the Music Award where Grammy Award Winner singer, Monica was honored.

Monica looked absolutely stunning and amazing and it was such a pleasure speaking to her.

i remember telling someone that I was a hopeless romantic. And they were happy because it actually renewed [i guess] a thought that there weren’t many people out there still looking for love. I mean I remember when love died. For me in particular, it was a cold day in July of 2006. I was like “fuck this shit” and gave up. So I guess I am a hopeless romantic. maybe I’m just hopeless.

"Until It's Gone" is Monica's new single from her album, New Life which is due to hit stores November, 29th 2011. She's is singing her ass the fuck off on this record! Where were you when I needed this record at one point in my life? The lyrics are so relate able, her approach to each key and riff is impeccable and just so raw and effortlessly. I've always say that she's one of the best songstress of her generation and this song proves exactly just that!

Love All Over Me

I'm so happy that Love All Over Me is Monica's second single off her album, Still Standing, however I'm so mad at J Records for releasing it so damn late. Yes her album sold off the strength of her first single, Everything To Me alone but I feel that Love All Over Me will not be as big as it's suppose to be. The song is catchy, great and she's singing her behind off.

On to the concept of this video, amazing! It features, L.A. Lakers player & boyfriend, Shannon Brown and rapper Maino. We can all relate to this, being happy in a new relationship and that one ex who, you always loved tend to pop up out of nowhere to only cause confusion. Which one do you want to go with? The past or the future? Ugh, got to love Monica for this!

Here I Am

Monica album cover for Still Standing due to hit stores on March 23, 2010 has been leaked and I'm not too sure if I like it or not. Something about it seems off but she is a pretty.

Sit Down, Shut Up and Just Listen

Not too many song that has been released that has made me sit down, shut up and just listen like Monica's official first single "Everything To Me" from her upcoming album Still Standing which is due to hit the shelves on March 9, 2010!

The song may sound very familiar because it samples the legendary songbird Deniece Williams, Silly.

Family Matters

Congratulations to Keyshia Cole who is expecting a baby and soon to be married. She's been silent lately and she has a reason. She's working on becoming the best mother she can be, a marriage that will soon happen and an album that is in the works. She recently broke her silence and wanted to keep her fans updated as to what's going on with her life and the drama that she wants to get away from.

STATEMENT FROM KEYSHIA COLE:

To all my friends and fans – It’s time that I clear the air. It’s not a secret that I haven’t been in contact with my mother Frankie, and my sisters Neffe and Elite and I never wanted to air out our differences to the public. While I won’t go into detail here I find it necessary to let you guys know I decided to stop communication with them because I was at a point in my life where I needed serenity and peace to move forward.

Please know I love my family very much but it was time to let it go. You guys are a witness to a lot of what was happening from watching on air and online. Now that I am becoming a mom my passion for having a loving and peaceful home for my child is my #1 priority. It’s very important to both Daniel and I. My plate is very full; I have a new baby coming, we are planning our wedding and I am working in the studio on a new album that I am close to completing. The stress that my family is giving me with their constant false reports is not healthy and it’s not what I need at this time in my life.

Please understand that there are only a few people that can officially confirm or deny anything that’s happening in my life and that’s me, Daniel, and my publicist, Tresa Sanders. And my girl Monica never lies.

My first reaction to the song is, why the mediocracy? It's definitely not as timeless or classic as The Boy Is Mine by Monica and Brandy.

Sista Daeng sent me a text message the other day saying she was listening to some Monica records and thought of me and that she misses me. I miss you as well Sista Daeng! Look's like Monica's latest effort is coming along pretty nice. She hooked up with Missy Elliot for this record, Everything To Me which samples Silly by legendary songbird, Deniece Williams. Monica is sanging her ass off on this track and I'm loving it!

This Is Serious Man

Monica has been killing it since her duet with Keyshia Cole's Trust single has hit radio and the powerful performance on the BET Awards - Monica has been in full swing of her 'comeback'. Not only does she have a new album, Still Standing coming out later this fall - she has a BET reality show coming as well (premiering after the BET Hip Hop Awards). Lemme Know was written by Jazmine Sullivan and produced by Missy Elliott.

Her amazing vocals on the record is undeniable. I love the fact that she's getting more comfortable with using her upper register and she's doing a great job at it on this record. The feel of early 90's R&B mix with Hip-Hop on this record is serious man!

Teach The Children

Miss Thang Monica was definitely in the building at the BET Awards show. She performed Trust with Keyshia Cole and she gave you signature Monica, pouty lips, neck rolling, sassy attitude and raw vocals. I enjoy watching Beyonce swaying her lace front from left to right when Monica came on. The best vocals of the night definitely belong to Monica and the very polish Beyonce.

What I love about Beyonce's performance of Ave Maria and In The Arms Of An Angel was her display of vulnerability. This is one undeniable theatrical woman.

Call Me A Taxi

I know I'm a couple of days late on this but Taxi by Monica has been leaked. It is written by Ne-Yo and produced by Stargate. What I enjoy about this track is her voice, it has really come full circle and has really settled. Monica is still on the hunt for a first single and is still in the studio with Bryan Michael Cox recording and is wrapping up with Missy Elliot. Other tracks that also leaked, One In A Lifetime and snippets of Stay or Go and Betcha She Don't Love Ya. I'm actually liking a lot of the stuff that has been leaked so far.

Momma's Brand New Bag

I, JaNKoBot love Fantasia and these pictures are giving me life. I'm so glad the photographer, Derek Blanks airbrushed those prison tattoos that Fantasia have. I'm not too keen on tattoos on women because it just make them look I don't know... Too around the way. I wish Fantasia, Keyshia Cole, Monica and Mary J. Blige would get rid of theirs. What I love about Fantasia is her voice, boy can she show out and for no damn reason at that. She definitely gives me Miss Patti Labelle downe! I like the video it's cute, Monica looks stunning I loved how she embodied her Miss Thang days in this video, her neck movements, the attitude and the effortless pouty mouth, go the fuck in Mo! Monica Once In A Lifetime

This Monica track "Once In A Lifetime" is bananas. She worked with Bryan Michael-Cox and J. Ferrari. I can honestly say that it is a nice mid-tempo R&B joint but not first single material. I feel good vibe of this record is so relax and chill and I can see why she doesn't show off her powerful chops. All in all, I'm loving it and Monica keep up the beautiful work.
