Bomb Harvest

Laos: the most bombed country, per capita, on the planet. Australian bomb disposal specialist Laith Stevens has to train a new young “big bomb” team to deal with bombs left from the US “Secret War”, but meanwhile, the local children are out hunting for bomb scrap metal. This timely story is terrifying and yet filled with eccentric characters and moments of humour, vividly depicting the consequences of war and the incredible bravery of those trying to clear up the mess.
It was a crime against one sovereign nation. It was a crime against the innocent people of Laos and worst of all a crime of destruction to the green forest once inhabitant by million of elephants, now home to 80 million of unexploded deadly bombs. Million of people still suffer dearly through decade aftermath of the conflicts.
The American had also committed genocides in Laos during the Vietnam war era. It was war crimes and war against the innocent civilians who knew nothing and did nothing to provoke this war. I am surprised that not even a single nation speaks out about this horrific tragedy.
This piece of history should be learn and share throughout the world so it won't happen again in the future. I know how much pain and suffering the Laos people had to go through because I would hear stories from my Grandparents. For over 30 years, the world had closed their eyes until recently we started to talk about these unbearable suffering. Its time the world wakes up and speak out about the mistakes committed by bad government and bad policy.
